Job: Continuous Improvement / Production Manager

Under the direct supervision of the site Operations Manager, the Production Manager leads five Team Leaders in the production of extruded wall base material satisfying all safety, quality, delivery, cost, and processing standards.  The Production Manager is responsible for consistent product quality, meeting customer expectations and continuous improvement activities.  He or she ensures the efficient operation of all processes and the optimization of production rates and downtime minimization in order to achieve production cost objectives. He or she hires, develops, and promotes staff to achieve manufacturing objectives and trains and develops supervisory and operating personnel on an on-going basis with primary focus on continuous improvement, problem solving, employee participation, safety and retention. The Production Manager establishes and enforces good housekeeping practices at all times, meets or exceeds relevant OSHA and EPA regulations for the manufacturing plant and reviews safety, quality, productivity and workforce issues daily with Operations Manager.
